TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE:
Question: I've installed the game but when I double click to start it, it gives me an error message ... "This application has failed to start because D3dx9_XX was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem." ... What do I do?
Answer: My games require that you have DirectX 9.0c installed on your system. What has happened is that you are missing some of the DirectX files required to play. It's pretty easy to correct through Microsoft's website. Just follow the steps below:
Updating DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft's website (internet connection required for update)
-
Copy this address to browser ... http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?=35 (English version)
-
Or go to Google and type the following in the search area ... "directx 9.0 end-user runtime" ... then select the link to go to Microsoft's site.
-
Once there, change your language if needed using the drop down box and then select the "DOWNLOAD" button to save the file "dxwebsetup.exe" to your hard drive.
-
Once saved, double click "dxwebsetup.exe" to start and allow the program to execute. Follow the prompts that appear while it checks your DirectX version information. (Remain connected to the internet)
-
Once it has checked your DirectX version, you may need to download more files to update. Just follow the prompts that appear to allow Microsoft to do that for you. The amount of files needed may be anywhere from 5Mb to 50Mb depending on what you are missing.
-
Once any other downloads have finished, these files will automatically be installed for you. You shouldn't have to reboot your computer or anything.
-
Go back to "PlayIzzy.exe" and try it again. It should start up and play with no problems.
-
You only have to follow the steps above just this ONE time. It will also allow any other games requiring DirectX 9.0c to operate correctly on your system as well.

Question: I have DirectX 10(Shipped with Vista) or DirectX 11(Shipped with Window's 7) already installed but the game still says I have missing files? Aren't those versions of DirectX backward compatible with DirectX 9.0c?
Answer: Unfortunately, no. Unlike DirectX 9.0c which IS compatible with previous versions (DirectX 8 or 7 and earlier), DirectX 10 and above no longer have that feature. That is why you may still need to update DirectX 9.0c even if you have version 10 or 11.
Question: Will installing DirectX 9.0 interfere with games that need DirectX 10 or 11?
Answer: Nope. DirectX 9.0c WILL NOT overwrite your existing version of DirectX if it is a newer version. Both will operate together without any problems. Any game that needed DirectX 10 or 11 before will STILL be using that same DirectX version.

Question: How do I Un-Install the game?
Answer: Easy. Just delete the folder that the game was installed in ... That's it! Nothing was added to your computer's registery or program files. Just a simple deletion of the folder is all that is required.
